I was happy to join the Le Salon team in New York for International Bridal Week (April 14-16). Now, I’m beyond excited to share a bit of what we experienced! We spent time with the Jenny Packham team (selecting new dresses for the salon!), we selected amazing accessories from Halo & Co with Mindy (brace yourself for a season of HOT accessories), then sat enraptured as Rani (St. Pucchi’s designer and president) showed us her newest designs, we were also privileged to join 30 fellow “bridal junkies” at an intimate Junko Yoshioka Show (amazing!!!) …and the list goes on and on!
As you can see, I could go on for days about our Big Apple adventures, but I’ll keep it brief. While in New York we saw accessories that are sure to be the BEST of the new season! And we are bringing it all to you. For one weekend we are having an Accessories Trunk Show (May 25-27). We are bringing in collections from local and international designers in addition to the unmatched collection we currently have. The icing on the (wedding) cake – we are kicking off the Trunk Show with an invite-only, intimate Bridal Accessory & Hair Catwalk Show on Thursday, May 24. We have partnered with Bianchi’s Salon & Spa (Royal Oak) to bring you a Catwalk Show that will feature the hottest accessories, hair styles, make-up and dresses that will knock your socks off (while you sip on champagne and listen to the sounds of DJ Zac)! Spots are limited, call Le Salon to reserve a seat. This is going to be the first of many exclusive events showcasing what make Le Salon special!

The team from Le Salon will be heading to New York for Market in the next week! We have a phenomenal list of designers to visit and are expecting to select some amazing dresses to bring into our collection at the salon. One designer gracing the top of our list is Japanese-born, New York City-based designer Junko Yoshioka. Here is a peak at ”Cascade” (a fit-to-flare strapless gown) part of her 2013 Spring collection. Flipping through a fashion magazine last week this Jimmy Choo ad caught my eye. Not only are the shoes uh-mazing, but the blouse and skirt scream “bohemian chic”. They remind me of two After Six dresses we just received. Both dresses are lux chiffon which give them beautiful movement and airiness. You don’t have to commit 100% to the Bohemian look, a dress like this might be just the right amount of “artsy and spirited” for you!

While flipping through the April 2012 issue of Vogue, I couldn’t help but notice the lace dress in this Dolce & Gabbana ad (on the stunning starlet Scarlett Johansson). The dress she is wearing gives a sultry, sexy and oh-so “Hollywood” vibe. Lace is a beautiful trend in fashion right now (and it’s not going anywhere for a while). We just received 5 amazing bridesmaid dresses that have lace details. Who knows…this might be the perfect pop of lace for your special day!

Maids have come a long way. To mix and match styles, as long as you have the same designer and fabric, you can match and allow each girl to pick her own style. Make sure to order on our Treasures website the same day to not only get wholesale pricing on some of our designers but also to make sure that the dye lots match. This means all the purples on the first image are exactly the same color, not slightly off.
