Paulette’s known for being the fashionista of her crew, so her girls didn’t bat an eyelash when she had the gusto to take an already flawless couture wedding gown and customize it. Of course she was going to customize it.
Paulette was simply charmed by the Paradiso Couture dress she said “I do” to, and with the help of her Le Salon stylist, Alexis, she set off putting the finishing touches on the dress to make her look feel even more Paulette. The straps were removed and the original trumpet fit of the gown was brought in to a curve-hugging fit n flare. To give Paulette that little extra something, Alexis called in the fabulous crystal artist Ariel Taub, who custom crystalled thirteen yards of tulle netting fluttering out of the bottom of the gown, creating the dizzyingly glamorous effect of walking on stardust. Finally, Paulette and Alexis played around with the gown’s flower embellishments to find the perfect placement to highlight her shape.
Paulette did everything right. Especially starting her search early, giving herself over a year to complete the process, a must when you want to get every detail just right and so you never have to feel rushed to make important decisions about her look.
She was also SO smart about getting her priorities straight because no, you can’t rock a sexy fit n flare and a romantic ballgown and sleek and simple sheath all at the same time. (Unless of course you want to have three different dresses, which I am totally not opposed to…) Paulette took a serious inventory of her priorities and knew that no matter what, highlighting her amazing family-heirloom lace veil was a very crucial part of her look. With that in mind, her Paradiso Couture gown with perfectly complementary lace was an easy choice, especially because she was able to work so closely with Paradiso Couture to personalize it. She didn’t have to be one of hundreds of brides walking down the aisle in yet another Maggie Sottero or the same old Vera Wang. Instead, she was uniquely Paulette, which is exactly the woman her fiance was hoping to see walk down the aisle.
