Here at Le Salon Bridal Couture, we not only celebrate wedding fashion and dresses but the wedding stories of our local community as a whole. Meet LS Bride Ashley & her fiance Nathan – our jet settin’ couple who enjoy discovering new places together. We love how Nathan changed it up in between trips to keep Ashley on her toes on when he proposed – not only was it perfect but it was totally unexpected. We can’t wait how their beautiful wedding will all come together!

How we met?
At one of my good friends 21st birthday party. Her older brother brought some of his friends out to celebrate her birthday and Nathan happened to be one of them. I saw him standing at the bar and thought he was cute so I went up and introduced myself to him.
Was it love at first sight?
I was in my last year of college and Nathan was 6 years older so I didn’t think it would really last but we both fell in love and Nathan stuck it through my last year of college and even attended a couple of sorority dances with me and that’s when I knew he was a keeper 😉
What makes you guys click?
We have so much in common and I swear Nathan knows me better than I know myself. we love to travel, explore new places (including new restaurants) and spend time outdoors being active.
How did her propose?
We went on a spontaneous strip to Napa on a perfect fall weekend in October. We rented electric bikes and rode to a few different wineries. At the third winery, Chimney Rock, we were getting ready to hop back on our bikes and head back into town. Nathan suggested we go to the vineyards to take some selfies and as we were snapping pics, Nathan set up his camera on a timer and as he was walking back to me he got down on one knee and popped the question!
Did you see the proposal coming?
We had been dating for 5 years and I (along with all our family) was more than ready for him to propose. There had been several other trips we went on that I thought he would propose on (including Thailand) so I thought our trip to Napa was just another trip. I was so excited when Nathan proposed and everything about it was perfect.
Got wedding planning advice?
Plan ahead! We had about 11 months to plan the wedding which I thought was more than sufficient but many vendors get booked up more than a year in advance. Book venue and photographer asap.
Date night advice?
My favorite date night is when we go to Golden Gardens (where we did our engagement photos) and have a beach BBQ and sip wine while the sunsets.
